Introduction of a tool to check roaming profile usage, user home usage, and the number of printable
We have introduced a tool called Zengaku Computer System MyInfo
into the Windows environment of the Zengaku Computer System.
It can be run from the Start menu. When you run this tool, it will
display the roaming profile usage, user home usage, and the number
of printable pages.

Updating MATLAB on Windows Remote Desktop
During the scheduled maintenance on Sunday, October 19th, MATLAB on Windows Remote Desktop will be updated from R2023a to R2025b.
After this update, users will need to authenticate with their own MathWorks account when using MATLAB.

Regarding the OS Upgrade of the Linux Servers of the Zengaku Computer System (Updated 25/10/9)

As scheduled, during scheduled maintenance on Sunday, September 28th, we upgraded the Ubuntu OS on the Zengaku Computer System’s Linux servers (icho01, icho02, and kiri) from 22.04 LTS to 24.04 LTS.
Most operations will function as before. However, this time we changed the configuration to mount home directories automatically.
During scheduled maintenance on Sunday, September 28th, the Ubuntu OS on the Zengaku Computer System’s Linux servers (icho01, icho02, and kiri) will be upgraded from 22.04 LTS to 24.04 LTS. These servers were originally scheduled to be upgraded in February, but due to operational issues, the upgrade was canceled. We have since confirmed the procedure for a successful upgrade.

Responses during Summer Holidays
The Academic Computing and Communications Center will be closed from 8/9 (Sat) to 8/17 (Sun) and will not be in operation.
During this time, the Zengaku Computer System will be operational in principle, but the use of each satellite will be based on the opening policy of each building.
There will be temporary outages on the on-campus network on 8/12 (Tue) and on the Zengaku Computer System’s network system on 8/13 (Wed). Therefore, the Zengaku Computer System will also be unavailable during that time in principle.
