Changing/Resetting Your Password

If you forgot your password, or would like to change it, please refer below.

Passwords Used by The Zengaku Computer System

The Zengaku Computer System uses the following passwords.
Depending on which service you forgot your password for, the response will differ. Please select the appropriate one below.

Forgot password for Unified Authentication System

You can have your Unified Authentication System password reissued. This is the password used for The Zengaku Computer System, manaba, TWINS, etc.
Please bring your (student) ID card to the office counters listed below (application by proxy not allowed).

  • Academic Computing & Communications Center (学術情報メディアセンター)
  • Central Library (中央図書館)
  • Art and Physical Education Library (体芸図書館)
  • Medical Library (医学図書館)
  • Otsuka Library (大塚図書館)
  • Library of Library and Information Science (図情図書館)
  • Office of Information Promotion (Kasuga Satellite Office)

If you cannot come to the counter in person due to overseas study, long-term training, long-term business trip, or other reasons, please refer to the following.

I lost my Unified Authentication System password or my password is no longer valid

Change Password for Unified Authentication System

Please access the update password page.

Please note that it may take up to 10 minutes to reflect the password change into the Zengaku computer system.

Forgot password for @u e-mail (faculty/students)

This is your password for your @u e-mail and for using Microsoft products such as Teams.
You can access https://m365setting.u.tsukuba.ac.jp (accessible only from the campus network) to set this up.

Account Name : Enter the part before @u.tsukuba.ac.jp. Not e-mail address
Domain : Select [@u.tsukuba.ac.jp]
Password : Enter the password you use for Unified Authentication System (TWINS, manaba, etc.)

“https://m365setting.u.tsukuba.ac.jp” can only be accessed from within the campus.
If necessary, please use the VPN service of the Academic Computing and Communications Center or the remote desktop service of the Zengaku Computer System.
The VPN service has a limited number of simultaneous connections, so please disconnect immediately after use.

Forgot password for @s e-mail (students only)

Your @s Password to use your @s e-mail.
You can access https://m365setting.u.tsukuba.ac.jp (accessible only from the campus network) to set this up.

Account Name : Enter the part before @s.tsukuba.ac.jp. Not e-mail address
Domain : Select [@s.tsukuba.ac.jp]
Password : Enter the password you use for Unified Authentication System (TWINS, manaba, etc.)
