To everyone leaving the university due to graduation, completion of studies or retirement

After graduation, completion of studies or retirement, you will no longer be able to use the Zengaku Computer System (including your email address ending with @s.tsukuba.ac.jp and @u.tsukuba.ac.jp), the Access Point Connections, and the software programs licensed through the university. Also, if you advance to graduate school, your student ID number will change and therefore you will not be able to use your current ID.

In particular, please note the following points:

  • E-mail
You will not be able to read your e-mails.
Your e-mail forwarding will be performed for up to 6 months after graduation, completion of studies or retirement; after that, you will not be able to use your e-mail anymore. Please inform those concerned about the change in your e-mail address..

    About mail forwarding, see below:

Mail Forwarding Setup (Office 365) (@s address → another email address)
Mail Forwarding Setup (Active! mail) (@u address → another email address)

(CAUTION: You cannot perform or change this setup after graduation, completion of studies or retirement.)

You can refer to the following page for information on how to save the e-mails in your inbox:

  • Data
You will not be able to log in into the terminals (PCs) in the satellite computer rooms, the UNIX servers, or the remote desktop servers.
Please copy all the necessary data on a removable media (USB etc.) BEFORE graduating, completing your studies or retiring.

  • Access Point Connections
You will no longer be able to use the Access Point Connections, including On-Campus Wi-Fi System, Zengaku Information Outlet and Network System etc. If you advance to graduate school, you can continue to use them with your current account until you receive your new account.
  • Licensed software
You will lose the right to use the software programs licensed through the university, including Office 365, so you must uninstall them from your own PC or device.

    About each software, see below:
