In the last ten years, the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and a number of lawyers and academics have discussed the extent to which locally ground traditional knowledge may help us solve environmental problems or maintain healthy ecosystems. This seminar aims to elaborate on this question from legal, economic, historical and traditional perspectives.
